Holy there’s no one like You, there’s none beside You, open up my eyes in wonder… – Build my life (Bethel Music)
Jesus is so worth it! I’ve been thinking during these last two weeks of how to put in words what I’ve seen Him doing here in Stockholm before, during and after the Awakening Europe event, and I’m still to be able to write enough about it. This event’s focus is to be happening every year in different parts of Europe. Preachers, worship leaders, every church in that chosen city and leaders of it, they come together as a family and body of Christ, united, to see the awakening of the hearts and the salvation of many souls. A week before the event this year here in Stockholm we’ve gone to the streets everyday to do what we called “Flood Stockholm”, and through those days we gave away free tickets to the event to non-Christians we got to talk to and sharing the gospel or praying with. God did move, He always does! So, here we were, volunteering for the weekend as ushers and also as part of the ministry team. We could see the Spirit of God changing lives, restoring relationships, healing people, bringing joy and unifying with the seal of forgiveness the leaders of the Church and the body of Christ in this town and country. On the week after this amazing time of seeing Heaven opening and God pouring out His love and compassion over the people, we went back to the streets to share the Gospel. Seriously, for me the week before the event and even since I’ve arrived in Sweden, I can say it’s not easy to talk to people on the streets or trains and buses; however, after the event something has shifted and people now were so open and not at all scared or in a hurry. I’m to tell you that Sweden, or at least the city of Stockholm are not the same! Jesus is establishing His kingdom even more in this nation! He has begun His work here and the roar of this people is powerful and will resound in Europe!
I’ll try to tell you two or three testimonies of our time on the streets to stir your faith up: Personally, it’s hard for me to go up to people out of the blue on the streets; therefore I was being challenged during those two weeks doing this everyday…But, Camila – you may ask – aren’t you a missionary?, YES! haha, and God has created us uniquely able to be light and share His love and salvation with the lost. So, I prayed and went up to people and saw God moving; but I also prayed everyday that God would show me how He wanted me to do that in the way He made me to, so that I could reach even more lives for Him. Whenever I was praying that prayer, I was actually sitting in a bus, packed with people, because the train tracks were not working on that week. I was listening to music and staring at the snow that had just fallen for the first time announcing an early winter for the swedish people; I said – God, bless this day and please let something different happen during evangelism and build our faith – and then God replied – I can do something different, but are you willing to start it? – and my attention was dragged from the window to every face in the bus and I noticed they didn’t have their phones out or headphones on, unexplainably. Then, the Holy Spirit started a flame in my heart and whispered to me – Stand up and pray for them – I panicked and after a couple minutes trying to acknowledge God’s will and asking for boldness and for the words to do that, I stood up. Every eye turned to me. Well, I don’t need to say anything else to call attention; so, I said – Hi, you don’t know me, but I believe in God and I was praying for this day to be a good one and He touched my heart to pray for you day… – I kept on and said something about the snow and prayed for them looking in their eyes, and something happened there. I didn’t expect anything, and at the end many smiled and thanked, some clapped and some couldn’t move because they were shocked and I bet God’s got them. Jesus won the victory again on that morning, He was crowned King again and I got to be used by Him and watch that first hand! WELL…With that we come to the second story; still in the bus, my student Marie couldn’t believe that had just happened and I was shaking forever haha. Later on that day it was time to go to the streets to evangelize again. My student was my partner on that day and we prayed that God would give us eyes to see and ears to hear His will; then suddenly it came to us the thought of going to buy some paper and drawing pens and sit at this cafe inside a gallery where many people came to spend time there every afternoon. So there we went, and for our surprise God started highlighting different people to both of us and giving us images and words about them; we drew it and went up to them, now with something to say that was as a key that opened their hearts to respond to us and even get prayed for or listen about Jesus! Wow! How amazing and detailed God is when it comes to a sincere petition from a daughter or a son to HIM, a good Father.
Mhmm…Would you like one last story?! I hope so… Continuing going to the same cafe on the next days we got to pray and talk to many people and see a change. One family called our attention, it was a Dad, his son and daughter; We felt like drawing something to the kids, so we did and went up to them and asked the Dad – Can we give these drawings to your kids? Because we believe that God creates people unique and we love to tell them and encourage them. – he answered – I’m a convicted atheist, and I’m afraid I can’t let you do it, because you said God is involved in it, so it may carry an attachment, you know… – and then Holy Spirit came to me and the words just came out of my mouth – Sir, I’m sorry, but if you don’t believe in God, why would Him or these words have any power then? – he looked at us speechless and replied – That’s, mhm, that’s true; go ahead and give it to them, just don’t say anything about God – and we did, and the kids were filled with joy. The father thanked us and shook our hands about three time before we left with a smile in his face. Isn’t it so good to trust God?! haha

Jesus é tão digno! Tenho pensado nessas duas últimas semanas em como colocar em palavras o que tenho visto Ele fazer aqui em Estocolmo antes, durante e após o evento chamado Awakening Europe (Aviva Europa), e ainda não sei se serei capaz de descrever o suficiente. Este evento tem o objetivo de ser realizado todo ano em diferentes partes na Europa. Pastores, ministros de Louvor, toda igreja da cidade escolhida e seus líderes, vêm como família, como corpo de Cristo, unido, para ver o avivamento de corações e a salvação de muitas almas. Uma semana antes do evento deste ano aqui em Estocolmo, fomos às ruas todos os dias para fazer o que chamamos de “Flood Stockholm” (Invasão em Estocolmo), e ao decorrer desses dias nós distribuímos convites gratuitos para não-Cristãos e também conversamos com muitos e falamos do evangelho e oramos com eles. Deus agiu, Ele sempre age na vida das pessoas! Assim, aqui estávamos nós, agora voluntariando durante o fim de semana no evento como introdutores e também como parte do time de ministração e intercessão. Ao orarmos pelas pessoas pudemos ver o Espírito de Deus mudando vidas, restaurando relacionamentos, curando pessoas, trazendo alegria e unificando os líderes da igreja e o corpo de Cristo nesta cidade e país com o selo do perdão. Na semana seguinte a este tempo maravilhoso onde pudemos ver os Céus se abrirem sobre as pessoas e Deus derramando do Seu amor e compaixão sobre suas vidas, fomos novamente as ruas para evangelizar. Sinceramente, pra mim a semana anterior ao evento e desde que cheguei aqui na Suécia, posso dizer que não é fácil falar com as pessoas nas ruas, trens ou ônibus; porém após ao evento algo mudou e agora as pessoas estavam abertas e não mais com receio ou com pressa. Estou pra falar pra vocês que a Suécia, ou pelo menos a cidade de Estocolmo não é a mesma! Jesus está estabelecendo Seu Reino mais ainda nesta nação! Ele começou Sua obra aqui e o rugido desse povo é poderoso e ecoará em toda a Europa!
Tentarei contar a você um ou dois testemunhos sobre o nosso tempo nas ruas para que sua fé seja aumentada: pessoalmente, é difícil para eu ir até as pessoas do nada no meio da rua; entretanto tomei isso como um desafio diário durante aquelas duas semanas… Mas, Camila – você pode questionar – você não é missionária?, SIM! Haha, e por isso creio que Deus criou cada um de nós de maneira única para ser luz e compartilhar do Seu amor e salvação para o perdido. Portanto, eu orava e ia até as pessoas e via Deus movendo; mas eu também orava todos os dias para que Deus me mostrasse como ele queria que eu falasse Dele da maneira como ele me criou para falar, para que assim, eu pudesse alcançar ainda mais vidas para Ele. Quando eu estava fazendo esta específica oração, eu estava sentada dentro deste ônibus lotado de gente, pois naquela semana os trilhos do trem estavam em reforma; eu estava ouvindo música e admirando a neve a cair pela primeira vez do outro lado da janela, anunciando mais cedo o inverno para os Suecos. Eu disse – Deus, abençoe este dia. Por favor faça algo diferente acontecer durante o evangelismo para que a nossa fé seja acrescentada – e então Deus respondeu – Eu posso fazer algo diferente, mas posso contar com você para começá-lo? – minha atenção foi levada da janela para cada face dentro daquele ônibus e então notei que, inexplicavelmente, ninguém estava com seu celular na mão ou de fone de ouvido. Então, o Espírito Santo começou a queimar dentro do meu coração e disse a mim – Fique de pé e ore por eles – eu entrei em pânico e depois de alguns minutos, tentando compreender a vontade de Deus e pedindo por ousadia e pelas palavras para que pudesse falar, me coloquei de pé. Todos os olhos se voltaram para mim; então disse – Oi, vocês não me conhecem, mas eu creio em Deus e eu estava orando para que meu dia fosse um bom dia e Ele colocou em meu coração para que eu orasse pelo seu dia… – continuei a falar algo sobre a neve e daí orei olhando nos olhos de cada um, e sei que algo aconteceu naquela manhã. Não esperava nenhuma resposta, mas ao terminar de orar e agradecer, muitos sorriram e agradeceram, uns bateram palmas e outros não conseguiam se mover pois estavam em choque e creio que Deus os tocou. Jesus teve Sua vitória novamente naquela manhã, Ele foi coroado Rei uma vez mais e eu tive a oportunidade de ser usada por Ele e ver ele agir em primeira mão! BOM… com isso vem o segundo testemunho, ainda no ônibus, minha aluna Marie olhando pra mim sem reação para o que acabara de acontecer e eu tremendo haha. Mais tarde naquele dia, era hora de sair para evangelizar nas ruas novamente. Minha aluna era minha parceira de evangelismo naquele dia e juntas oramos para que Deus nos desse olhos para ver e ouvidos para ouvir a Sua vontade; e de repente nos ocorreu de ir comprar papel e canetas para desenhar e para irmos a um Café dentro dessa galeria onde muita gente vai durante a tarde. Lá fomos nós, e para nossa surpresa Deus começou a mostrar pessoas diferentes para nós duas, nos dando imagens e palavras sobre essas pessoas; desenhamos e fomos até essas pessoas, agora com algo para dizer a elas que fosse como uma chave abrindo seus corações para corresponder e com isso pudemos orar por algumas delas também e falar de Jesus! Wow! Quão maravilhoso Deus é e o quanto Ele se importa com detalhes e ouve a oração sincera de uma filha e um filho Dele, um bom Pai.
Hmmm… Você gostaria de ouvir uma última história?! Espero que sim… Continuamos a ir ao mesmo Café no dia seguinte e pudemos orar e falar com muitas pessoas e ver mudanças. Uma certa família nos chamou à atenção, um pai, seu filho e sua filha; Sentimos que deveríamos desenhar algo para as crianças, então o fizemos e fomos até o pai, e o perguntei – Podemos entregar estes desenhos para seus filhos? Acreditamos que Deus criou cada um de modo único e gostaríamos de encorajá-los – o pai respondeu – Sou ateu e convicto, me desculpe mas não posso deixar vocês darem esses desenhos, pois se Deus está envolvido nisso, pode ser que isso carregue algo, entende? – e então o Espírito Santo veio a mim com as palavras necessárias e eu disse – Senhor, me desculpe, mas se você não acredita em Deus, porque você acha que essas palavras possuem algum poder? – ele olhou para nós estupefato e respondeu – Isso, hmm, isso é uma verdade, faz sentido; vá em frente e dê os desenhos para meus filhos, só não fale sobre Deus – e assim o fizemos, e as crianças ficaram felizes. O pai nos agradeceu e nos deu três apertos de mão com um grande sorriso no rosto antes de irmos embora. Como é bom confiar em Deus, né?! Haha
